Abstract

Penyebaran informasi palsu seperti hoaks dan fake news menjadi tantangan signifikan di era digital, terutama bagi generasi muda sebagai pengguna aktif media sosial. Rendahnya literasi digital sering kali membuat mereka mudah terpengaruh oleh hoaks yang dapat menciptakan keresahan sosial, merusak reputasi, bahkan mengurangi kepercayaan pada institusi penting, seperti yang terlihat pada kasus hoaks COVID-19 dan isu politik. Seminar bertema "Mengatasi Informasi Hoaks dan Fake News di Dunia Digital" dilaksanakan di MAN 1 Metro untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa mengenali dan memverifikasi suatu informasi. Kegiatan ini menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif melalui diskusi kelompok, analisis studi kasus, dan alat bantu multimedia, yang mencakup definisi hoaks, faktor penyebaran, dan teknik verifikasi. Evaluasi menunjukkan 85% peserta merasa puas atau sangat puas, 88% menyatakan materi relevan dengan kebutuhan mereka, dan 84% melaporkan peningkatan pemahaman signifikan setelah seminar. Kendati terdapat kendala teknis, seperti suara pembicara yang kurang jelas dan durasi seminar yang singkat, kegiatan ini berhasil menciptakan kesadaran untuk lebih kritis dalam menerima informasi. Seminar ini diharapkan menjadi model strategis bagi generasi muda dalam membangun literasi digital yang kuat dan bertanggung jawab di era informasi.
